Samsung LN46A750 has a tremendous image quality right out of the box, but if you want the best picture quality you should have it calibrated. There is nothing like this tv sets when it it’s fine-tuned for your ambient.
Samsungs TOC or Touch Of (Red) Color, I have heard a lot of conversations about it. For me it is barely visible and presents it a decent feel on the edges of this Samsung LN52A750.
I am truly happy with this Television. It has plenty of connectors and great quality. You should read the manual with caution if you have any component connecters because just 1 set on the TV has that function and it says composite on the back.
There are some small issues but nothing to worry about. The operating system is a bit delayed. When browsing menus it may take a while to respond but I’m picky when it comes to speed. Couple of the control buttons like the jog wheel operate better for a person who uses it slowly and presses with more strenght.
The volume and channel buttons squeak a bit but not in an unpleasant way. The other negative thing of the remote is it is not universal. I don’t like that a TV in this price range doesn’t come with one.
The image quality of HD sources are gorgeous with right and properly saturated colors. Not over saturated and over processed like Sony televisons. There are times when the upscaling of lower quality signals leaves something to be desired. Sometimes when a person’s face can seem a bit granulated or boxy. This can be well fixed with using a HD source. With HD sources this Television is perfectly gorgeous.
Combine it with Blu ray player or other HD source and you will be in heaven. I really like it. Just know that this set, like other high contrast sets, uses a semi glossy screen which can reflect so be careful of your light sources nearby. It reflects something like a standard flat screen tube TV with common glass, but probably a bit less.
In The End the audio is adequate. I never was a fan of the built in speakers on any TV but for those who don’t worry that much about it the sound is simply adequate. Something I have learned though is that the TV processes video quicker than my own amplifier processes sound. It happens that the TV can go ahead of my surround sound system and the words don’t align. This is easily fixed if you pause the video and starting it back. It happens rarely and usually only when I start or when I’m fast forwarding a video.
Decision is that this is a outstanding tv sets, and most likely the best HDTV at this price range, money well spent and will fulfill absolutely everyone.
