Which is the number 1 site for Guitar Licks?

Having researched, analysed and scored over 300 guitar sites, we’ve created our Top 10 sites for Guitar Licks.

The number 1 position went to Free Licks (www.freelicks.net). This is another site from Kris Dahl who has a number of different sites dedicated to lead guitar. This one is totally free with some really good content on both Guitar Licks and complete songs. Our only criticism of this particular site is that the video files are too large, and therefore download can be very slow at times. However an additional bonus, is that there’s plenty of free backing tracks, which is great to see.

This site scored an overall 73/100, with our editors score being 15/20, the only down side really is all the ads on the page, which do get a bit annoying and distracting.

In a close second place was Guitar Master Class (www.GuitarMasterClass.net)
This is a really great site for learning many different licks, riffs and styles. All the Guitar Licks lessons are good quality, with plenty to choose from. I’d say the site content is more aimed at Intermediate and Advanced Guitarists rather than Beginner guitarists. If you want to really get into your Guitar Riffs and Guitar Solos, then this is definitely worth checking out, particularly as there are quite a few free lessons.

And in third place; Dolphin Street (www.dolphinstreet.com) This site offers a broad range of free content, including solo styles, playing techniques, and licks. The content is recently updated so there’s always plenty to check out. There’s also stuff on picks, pedals and other guitar stuff.

Actually on first glance we did not think this site would score so well, but actually there’s plenty of great content here. This should be one of your bookmarked sites for guitar solos and techniques.

The other sites that made it into the top 10 included; Play Guitar Solos, Access Rock, My Guitar Solo, Guitar Methods, Video Guitar Lessons, Mad Guitar Licks, and Jazz Guitar. To read about these sites simply visit www.whichguitarsite.com, it’s all totally free, and very quick and easy to use.
